2000 Cup of Russia Long Program
Interviewer: Peter Carruthers (PC) (with Robin Wagner (RW))
PC: Here with coach, Robin Wagner, and Sarah Hughes. What did you think of your performance, first of all?
Sarah: Oh, I'm so happy with how I skated. It was great. I felt I skated fast. I related to the audience and the judges and my skating keeps getting better and that's all I can ask for.
PC: You may have related to the judges, but I don't think they relayed the right scores. They were very low and I thought that she outskated Irina Slutskaya. Your thoughts on that?
RW: Well, I'll tell you. I didn't see Irina skate because I was in the back with Sarah but I think right now the main point for Sarah is to keep on getting better with each event which she certainly did. This is her third Grand Prix event and she skated well in all three, this one being the best. That's all I'm concerned about right now.
PC: If you could go back and do it again, would you have done anything differently?
Sarah: You know, I couldn't say I would've done anything differently. I'm really happy and I'll go home, work on more triple-triples and put them in the program.
PC: Well you keep working and good luck!
